Closest Airports: Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) and Milan Linate Airport (LIN)

  • For those landing at MXP

    • From there, we recommend taking a car directly to Cernobbio (~40 minutes)

    • Alternatively, you can take the Malpensa Express train, change trains once at Saronno, and reach the Como S. Giovanni station in roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes.

  • For those landing at LIN

    • From there, you can take a car directly to Cernobbio (~50 minutes)

    • Alternatively, you can easily get to Milan Central Station and take the train to Como S. Giovanni station (40 minutes)

The trains from Milan Central Station run every 30-60 minutes throughout the day; From the Como Lago station, it’s about a 10-15 minute drive to Cernobbio

The Scenic Route: Fly into Zurich (ZRH)

  • Motts and I have done this countless times and have enjoyed the leisurely train ride through the mountains that sit between Switzerland and Italy

  • From ZRH airport, you can take the airport train to the main station of Zurich HB (~10 minutes) and hop on Trenitalia to arrive at Como S. Giovanni station in ~2 hours and 35 minutes.

Step 3: Stay

Villa Pizzo is located in the town of Cernobbio along the western shore of Lake Como. There are plenty of options in Cernobbio as well as the neighboring town of Moltrasio. Staying nearby ensures you’re just a short distance from not only the wedding venue but to the rest of the week’s events.
